Leather Branding With Flame Heated Branding Iron

Leather Branding Guide

This guide will walk you through how to brand your leatherworking projects.

Branding leather gives a different aesthetic than embossing it, which you may prefer. Note that this is not suitable for faux leathers, where the intense heat will melt the plastic.

Things needed:

  • Brass branding stamp (included in kit)
  • Wooden handle (Included if chosen)
  • Spring washer (included in kit)
  • 13MM spanner/wrench
  • Butane/propane torch, or other flame heat source
  • Scrap pieces of leather, for testing temperature of the stamp
